PATINA

When a canvas is covered with 12.7cm square of silver leaves, clear grid-like lines appear on their gaps. Then sulfur-compound-attack corrodes leaves to cover it in beautiful greenish blue color. Sufficient color control in this treatment is difficult because various factors, including environmental temperature, relative humidity and others, react on it. Clear grid lines are thus enveloped with patina to lose the rigid aspect.
The “order” is often aimed, in the natural energy rules, at goal in “disorder.” In my case, I expect always some sort of happening coming on my works. I feel tempted to face an accident, including the process, which falls in beyond my expectation.
