FRAME

“frame" is a series of paintings whose appearances constantly change over the course of time. Initially, the painting appears to be a plain silver surface, but due to a layer of drying oil applied as a finishing touch, the silver gradually morphs into an uneven brownish tone. During this process, the image of a painted frame becomes visible, although only fragmentarily.
A frame separates a painting from the rest of the world, preventing the painted images from decaying and disappearing. Painters have always wanted their works to survive for generations, unchanged and intact.
However, I accept the change, embracing the passage of time as part of my creation. Traditionally, painters have wanted to freeze the image in perpetuity, but my goal is to visualize the process of change and thus highlight each and every moment of our lives.
